The veteran actress, who not only starred opposite the late Leslie Nielsen in Forbidden Planet, but also in such cinema classics as Bad Day at Black Rock and Blackboard Jungle, died at the age of 80 due to complications from pancreatic cancer. Her work on the small screen was equally impressive, including the short-lived 1965 TV series Honey West, for which she nabbed an Emmy nomination.
