Mary Louise Parker
After 102 episodes as Nancy Botwin—and a 2006 Golden Globe win for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical—Parker went on to guest star on The Blacklist, Billions and Mr. Mercedes. She also starred in 2017's When We Rise, ABC's critically acclaimed LGBTQ+ miniseries.
Parker, 56, released her memoir Dear. Mr. You in 2015, which went on to become a New York Times bestseller. She's set to make her return to Broadway in a revival of How I Learned to Drive, reprising her role from the original 1997 production.
She has two children: her 16-year-old son William Atticus Parker, with her ex Billy Crudup, and daughter Caroline Aberash Parker, adopted from Ethiopia in 2007.
Hunter Parrish
Parrish became one of the show's breakout stars in the role of Silas, Nancy's eldest son, and he went on to front Spring Awakening and Godspell on Broadway during Weeds' eight-year run. He also starred in hit films such as 17 Again, RV and It's Complicated, and landed a major recurring role on The Good Wife.
The 33-year-old would go on to star in Amazon's Good Girls Revolt and ABC's Quantico before landing a role in Netflix's Ratched, Ryan Murphy's upcoming One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest prequel.
Parrish married longtime girlfriend Kathryn Wahl in September 2015, five years after the couple met on the set of Weeds when she was working as a personal assistant. In March 2020, Parrish announced they were expecting their first child.
Elizabeth Perkins
Perkins starred as Nancy's neighbor and frenemy Celia Hodes before exiting the series after season five, with fans never learning what happened to her character after she headed off to Mexico.
"She didn't die, she wasn't killed. Personally, I think they should've pushed her off a cliff," Perkins, who earned multiple Golden Globe and Emmy nominations for the role, told Entertainment Tonight. "That would've been, like, a proper goodbye to Celia Hodes."
But she seemed down to return to the role, telling the outlet, "I did hear that there was something in the works...other than that, I don't know anything about it. But I don't know how they could make it without me."
Since leaving Weeds, Perkins has made memorable guest appearances on How to Get Away With Murder and This Is Us. Most recently, the 59-year-old starred in HBO's critically acclaimed miniseries Sharp Objects and Apple TV+'s Truth Be Told.
Alexander Gould
Before playing Nancy's youngest son Shane, Gould was best known for voicing the titular clownfish in the animated hit Finding Nemo. During his time on Weeds, Gould also lent his vocal talents to Curious George and Bambi 2 (as Bambi), and in 2016 voiced a small role in Finding Dory. He also made guest appearances on Supernatural and Pushing Daisies before taking a break from the industry to attend college. He graduated from Brandeis University in 2017.
In 2018, Gould, 26, married actress Lieba Hall Gould and the couple resides in Los Angeles.
Justin Kirk
Kirk starred as Nancy's brother-in-law Andy in all seven seasons, earning the Satellite Award in 2008 for Best Actor in a Comedy.
After the Showtime drama came to an end, the 51-year-old starred in the network's comedy Kidding opposite Jim Carrey, and appeared on You're the Worst, Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist and HBO's Perry Mason.
Kirk also portrayed Scooter Libby, the former chief of staff to vice president Dick Cheney, in 2018's Oscar-nominated film Vice.
Kevin Nealon
The Saturday Night Live veteran starred in all eight seasons as city-councilman-turned-defacto-Botwin-fam-member Doug Wilson.
Post-Weeds, Nealon, 66, appeared opposite Matt LeBlanc on the CBS sitcom Man With a Plan from 2016 until 2020, and he's hosted his own YouTube show, Hiking With Kevin, since 2017.
After marrying Parks and Recreation's Susan Yeagley in 2005, the couple welcomed their son, Gable Ness Nealon, in 2007.
Romany Malco
Malco, best known for his part in The 40-Year-Old Virgin, starred in the first three seasons of Weeds before exiting the series, later returning as guest star in the eighth and final season.
He currently stars on ABC's hit drama A Million Little Things after guest starring on The Good Wife and Blunt Talk, and he recently directed his first film Tijuana Jackson: Purpose Over Prison, a mockumentary he also wrote, produced and starred in as a character he created over 20 year ago.
Malco, 51, has also appeared in films such as Think Like a Man, Last Vegas, The DUFF and Holiday Rush.
After eight years of marriage, Malco and ice skater Taryn Dakha divorced in 2016.
