The former Dallas Cowboys tight end died on Sept. 28 after an apparent rock-climbing incident near the Tahquitz Peak Fire Lookout in Southern California. He was 31 years old. The Dallas Cowboys paid tribute to Escobar, writing on Twitter, "Forever in our hearts."

The ski mountaineer's body was found on Mount Manaslu in Nepal on Sept. 28, two days after she went missing, expedition liaison officer Sachindra Yadav told The New York Times. Nelson was 49.

Robert Cormier
The actor, whose roles included Finn Cotter on Heartland, died on Sept. 23. He was 33 years old. A cause of death has yet to be revealed. The TV series paid tribute to Cormier in an Instagram post.
