Are They or Aren't They?
In the wake of the cheating scandal that destroyed his marriage to Sandra Bullock, Monster Garage guy Jesse James spends the weekend in Las Vegas with Kat Von D in August 2010. The L.A. Ink star and tattoo artist takes to Twitter to announce "And yes, Jesse and I are dating." However, she promptly deletes it, with her publicist telling People that "they did have dinner, but they are just friends."

At the opening of her new Wonderland Gallery in West Hollywood in September 2010, Von D confirms that she and James are indeed an item. Asked by reporters if they are dating, she said, "Yes, we're together—duh!"
Fourth Time's the Charm?
After a five-month courtship, James decides to pop the question in January 2011, telling People: "So honored that she said 'yes.' Growing old with her is going to be a f---in' blast!'
Putting a Ring on It?
Rumors begin swirling in March 2011 that the couple have secretly tied the knot when James is spotted with a band on his left ring finger. However, such speculaton is quickly put to rest when Von D does not refer to James as her hubby when she tweets the following: "Just got home from hands down THE best birthday! Still glowing from all the love from my family, friends, fiancé, n fans! So in love w life!"

While out promoting his autobiography American Outlaw in May 2011, James tells Howard Stern that when it comes to sex, it's "100 percent" better with Von D than it was with ex-wife Bullock.
Standing By Her Man
James reveals during an interview with Men's Journal in May 2011 that it was Von D who came to his rescue when the media was having a field day with him and his cheating ways. "One person reached out. Guess who that was? Everyone else thought I was toxic. The fact that Kat is willing to be with me now? And get demonized in the tabloids for it? God, I really love her."
"Still Going Strong"
Reports begin to surface in June 2011 that James and Von D have called off their engagement. "That is absolutely not true," James tells People. "We're still going strong. Things are completely good with us." What's more, the two say they're planning a summer wedding.
No Longer Permanent
James and Von D call it quits in July 2011 with the former bride-to-be breaking the news on Twitter. "I am no longer w/Jesse, and out of respect for him, his family and myself, thats all the info I'd like to share," she wrote. "Thanks for respecting that."
