“She's gone after much suffering, which I guess is a good thing,” Gilroy told the outlet. “I can't tell you how much I miss her.”
He said Duvall had received hospice care for diabetes complications over "the last few months" and been bedridden prior to her passing.
"I'm happy for her that she's not, you know, suffering," Gilroy continued. "This is a great little community here, and lots of people are just so supportive. We have good friends right here, so there's a support system in place."

Dr. Ruth Westheimer, the sex therapist who rose to fame with her frank conversations about love and sex, died July 12, her family shared in a statement. She was 96.
"She died peacefully at her home in New York City on July 12th surrounded by her loving family," they confirmed to NBC News, "just over a month after celebrating her 96th birthday."
