Golden Globes: Jan. 5

The Golden Globes will kick off award show season in early January, with Nikki Glaser serving as host.

In terms of the night's top contenders, Emilia Pérez leads the film nominations with 10 nods followed by The Brutalist with seven and Conclave with six. On the TV side, The Bear served up the most nominations with five followed by Only Murders in the Building and Shogun with four each (see the full list here).

The Traitors Season 3: Jan. 9

"I am counting down the seconds until The Traitors season three drops. They already deserve an Emmy for their casting this season. Reality TV legends and chaos magnets all under one roof, and I’m itching to watch Dorinda [Medley] spiral trying to figure out who's lying to her face. Betrayals, backstabbing, and Alan Cumming in another kilted serve? Inject it directly into my veins."

Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros (the 3rd Fourth Wing book): Jan. 21

There was a huge cliffhanger in the second book with one of the main characters and apparently the book series is getting a show on Prime I believe! So big thing!

The Beyhive will surely be buzzing with excitement for the 2025 Grammy Awards.

Beyoncé leads the nominees with 11 nods followed by Charli xcx, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar and Post Malone with seven apiece. Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan and Taylor Swift follow closely behind with six nominations each. (For the full list, click here.)

Super Bowl LIX & Kendrick Lamar's Halftime Show: Feb. 9

While football fans are still waiting to see which two teams will take the field on Super Bowl Sunday, Kendrick Lamar is getting in the zone for the Halftime Show.

"Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date," the Grammy winner said in a statement obtained by E! News. "And I’ll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one."

In fact, Kendrick has already had a bit of practice as he was part of the 2022 Halftime Show with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and Mary J. Blige.

Yellowjackets Season 3: Feb. 14

It’s been two years waiting on the next arc of Yellowjackets and my partner and I are DYING to know what happens next. Who else got eaten? Are there more survivors? What will happen to Lottie?! And WHO is the Antler Queen?!!??! It’s coming out on Feb. 14th in 2025, in case you needed Valentine’s Day plans.

Saturday Night Live's 50th Anniversary: Feb. 16

As a parent a highlight of my weekend is often making it all the way through Saturday Night Live without falling asleep. (Don’t judge, raising young kids can be joyful, but it’s also exhausting AF.) So, February’s SNL50 Primetime Special is already circled on my calendar. With promises to "welcome stars of the past and present to Studio 8H" I’m eager to see which alumni and big-named stars are tapped to appear.

You know you love her, XOXO, which is why fans are so excited Kristen Bell will be hosting the 2025 SAG Awards.

Suits: LA season 1: Feb. 23

OG Suits was such an iconic series, but like all good things, it had to come to an end. However, I have no objection to a new legal drama with the same juicy kinds of storylines. I’m so excited to see where Aaron Korsh will take the characters in the Los Angeles law firm, especially Bryan Greenberg’s character Rick Dodson. Hopefully, we’ll see some familiar faces, too! *Cough cough* Donna and Harvey *cough cough*.

Conan O'Brien Hosting the Oscars: March 2

I couldn’t have been more thrilled when Conan O’Brien was announced as host of the 2025 Oscars. Have I seen all the award season movies yet? No. Do I think Conan’s a genius who deserves his flowers? Yes.

Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins: March 18

The odds are in our favor in 2025. Suzanne Collins' highly anticipated novel Sunrise on the Reaping will be hitting shelves on March 18, 2025. Hunger Games fans have been patiently awaiting the captivating story of beloved character Haymitch Abernathy and the events of the Second Quarter Quell for years, and we’ll be the first in line.

Beach Reads: Spring

2025 is already shaping up to be full of fun reads, especially in women’s fiction. First, Taylor Jenkins Reid is blasting into outer space with the 1980-set Atmosphere in early April, followed by Emily Henry’s Great Big Beautiful Life a few weeks later and One Golden Summer, Carley Fortune’s sequel to Every Summer After, in May. And that’s just a small glimpse of what the next year in books looks like.

Andor Season 2: April 22

I have admittedly had a hard time keeping up with the ever-expanding universes of Star Wars, Marvel and more. However, Andor, which follows Diego Luna’s Rogue One character Cassian Andor on his journey from smuggler to rebel leader, is in a league of its own—and, tbh, is maybe one of the best Star Wars installments since the original trilogy with its singular focus and gripping story. While the second season is its last, it’ll surely be one for the ages.

Met Gala: May 5

Mark your calendars for the first Monday in May! New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art has announced that the Costume Institute’s 2025 exhibit will be Superfine: Tailoring Black Style and will "examine the historical and cultural emergence of the Black Dandy, tracing the figure from 18th-century depictions to modern-day representations."

As for who will be hosting the Met Gala, Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams and Anna Wintour will serve as co-chairs and LeBron James will be an honorary chair of the fashionable ball.

Lilo & Stitch Live-Action Movie: May 23

Live action remakes of beloved animated films are not usually my cup of tea—unless, of course, it is my favorite animated film. Lilo & Stitch is the perfect movie and based on the first look of the CGI Stitch, I already have faith that this remake will be up to my very high standards. Maia Kealoha is perfectly cast as Lilo, and I can’t wait to make this movie a must-see for all of my little nieces and nephews. Here’s to hoping Mark Keali'i Ho'omalu’s "Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride" gets a needle drop.

Freakier Friday: Aug. 8

"You're it. You're the ultimate. It's automatic, I'm sure of it"—that I will be seeing Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis' Freaky Friday sequel Freakier Friday. After waiting more than two decades since the 2003's version release, I'm so ready to see what's up with Anna, Tess and Chad Michael Murray's character Jake.

The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3: Summer

I can’t decide if I’m more excited for this because I will no longer have to think about the Fisher brothers ever again when it ends, or because of how much of a fan I am of Jenny Han. Either way, this will be the event of my summer. Although the last season did not end favorably for Conrad fans or—in my personal opinion—Belly, it was a quintessential part of my 2023 summer to settle into my couch each week and live text my sister my reactions to every mistake made by these nearly-unredeemable characters. If you’ve read the books, you’ll know that this season has many more in store (even if Jenny said there will be changes from the source material).

And while I’ll certainly miss seeing Lola Tung, Christopher Briney, Gavin Casalegno and the rest of the cast perfectly execute these roles, I’m also excited to see where they’ll go next. With every end is a new beginning!

Wicked: For Good: Nov. 21

Given that much of the past year was spent holding space for the perfect stage-to-screen adaptation that was Wicked, I suspect that 2025 will consist of theatre kids around the world playing the soundtrack on repeat in anticipation for the release of Wicked: For Good in November. Hearing Jonathan Bailey and Cynthia Erivo’s rendition of "As Long As You’re Mine" will likely make my year—and I will no doubt be giggling and kicking my feet while watching through my full-body sobs."

The Last of Us Season 2: TBD

I’m so ready for the return of Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey as they fight to survive the chaos of their fungus-infected world. Season one was full of beautiful stories of survival and love (Nick Offerman and Murray Bartlett as Bill and Frank?! C’mon.) set against a backdrop of evil leaders with ulterior motives (lookin’ at you, Melanie Lynskey) and I’m so ready to see more. And we’re gaining Catherine O’Hara and Kaitlyn Dever?! Season two is an embarrassment of riches that can’t come soon enough.

Stranger Things Season 5: TBD

While no official release date has been shared, Netflix confirmed its beloved franchise will come to an end in 2025 and I am waiting with bated breath for what is sure to be an epic conclusion. Eight years in the making, we really have watched these young stars grow up before our very eyes and I will be locked in to see how this saga is finally brought to a close. (And will be crossing my fingers for a miraculous resurrection of Joseph Quinn's Eddie Munson.)

Squid Game Season 3: TBD

After patiently waiting for three years, fans have been binge-watching season two of Squid Game—which received a Golden Globes nomination for Best Television Drama before it even dropped. But Netflix has already given the green light for season three. And while it hasn't revealed the official release date, it has confirmed it will debut in 2025 and that it will be the last season. Let the games begin.

The Bear Season 4: TBD

Okay, so not everyone said "Yes Chef!" to season three. I, however, am still looking forward to what Carmy and co have in store come season four, especially since we see Sydney sitting down with his mom—which should make for one interesting turn out of many.
