Pregnancy in Paradise
Michael Armstrong and his wife Emma Armstrong announced they were expecting a baby in a video of them posing in front of the tropical greenery of Hawaii. She wrote in January, “There is a miracle growing inside my womb.”
A Glimpse at Her First Trimester Baby Bump
Emma reflected on her pregnancy, emphasizing in February that she has “spent lifetimes and lifetimes preparing” for motherhood.
“Growing you in my womb has already been the biggest transformation of my life and we are only halfway there,” she gushed. “The excitement of finally being reunited with you, earthside. To smell your skin, to look into your eyes, to hold you in my arms fills my heart with complete wonder and a love beyond time and space.”
Celebrating Their Wedding Anniversary
As Michael and Emma were close to welcoming their baby, the latter paid tribute to their first wedding anniversary.
“My womb full with our first child,” she wrote alongside snaps of her baby bump. “Our love is rich in its miracles and strong in its growth. Our commitment holds the deepest roots I have ever known. Thank you Michael for holding me the way my soul has always yearned for.”
Singing Sweet Songs
Emma shared videos of herself singing to her baby bump in her third trimester, which Michael couldn’t help but praise.
Enjoying the Rain
One week before Michael and Emma’s heartbreaking loss, Emma twirled in the rain with her baby bump on full display.
Ready For Their Little One
Michael was all smiles as he constructed their baby’s rocking bassinet.
A Tragic Loss
Michael and Emma shared the stillbirth of their son Zen Diamond Love at 37 weeks, just three weeks before Emma’s due date.
“My wife woke up and noticed there wasn’t movement in her belly,” Michael wrote on Instagram June 14. “She intuitively felt something was off. A couple hours later, we got an ultrasound and the doctors found no heartbeat.”
“There was no sign of what went wrong,” he continued. “His ultrasound, body and placenta all looked good. As we’ve learned, sometimes this just happens, and 1/3 of the time no cause is ever discovered.”
