The royal couple were front and center on the first day of cousin Zara's competition, cheering her on from the suddenly that-much-more-imposing stands.
Going for Gold
Forget the claims of being born with a silver spoon, Queen Elizabeth II's granddaughter (and 14th in line to the throne) earned that silver medal all on her own. Well, maybe not entirely on her own—it was, after all, a second-place finish for the entire Team GB equestrian team, who gathered on the podium after having taken the hardware for the Eventing Team Jumping competition.
Posh & Sporty
Talk about a dynamic duo. The duke and the veritable football soccer royalty joined forces to cheer on England's squad in its first match of the London 2012 Olympics. Seemed to do the trick: The British boys beat their competition, trouncing the United Arab Emirates 3-1.
Opening Ceremonies
There was Bond, there was Bean, there were flying Mary Poppinses and there was a skydiving queen, and yet still, the camera seemed to pan to Will, Kate and Harry more often than not during Danny Boyle's magnificent ode to Britain.
