The most anticipated (and speculated about) role has finally been filled, with Sam—best known for playing opposite Kristen Stewart in Snow White and the Huntsman—set to play the swoon-worthy victor from District 4.
Stephanie Leigh Schlund as Cashmere
Get ready for a big screen reunion...well, kinda. Leigh played Liam Hemsworth's sister in the movie The Last Song and now will tackle the role of Cashmere, an arrogant District 1 victor who re-enters the arena with her brother.
Maria Howell as Seeder
Howell—who had small parts in The Blind Side and What to Expect When You're Expecting, as well as on TV in The Vampire Diaries—will play District 11's tribute, an older victor Katniss bonds with over the late Rue and Thresh.
Alan Ritchson as Gloss
Ritchson will ditch his funnyman frat routine (Blue Mountain State) and flex his muscles (which he showed off as Smallville's Aquaman) as he steps into the shoes of District 1's Gloss, a lethal career tribute who enters the arena with his sister.
E. Roger Mitchell as Chaff
Mitchell has experience with onscreen warfare (Battle: Los Angeles) and other dramatic outings (The Shield, One Tree Hill), which should serve him well in his portrayal of District 11's Chaff, the one-handed drunken pal of Haymitch, arena ally of Peeta and kisser of Katniss.
Bruno Gunn as Brutus
You'll recognize Gunn from gritty small-screen work like Sons of Anarchy and Oz, all of which showed off the hard-core intensity that makes him perfect for District 2's Brutus, a bloodthirsty victor who can't wait to return to the arena.
Meta Golding as Enobaria
Well, she'll certainly be the most gorgeous villain this saga has seen! Golding—best known for her work on the small screen in shows like Criminal Minds and CSI—will sink her teeth into the role of District 2's career victor.
Jena Malone as Johanna Mason
Jena will have to recall the ass-kicking skills she learned from Sucker Punch and more dramatic nuances of films like Into the Wild to channel Johanna, a tough-talking tribute from District 7 who dukes it out with Katniss.
Philip Seymour Hoffman as Plutarch Heavensbee
The Oscar-winning actor (for Capote) is leaving Broadway behind for the riches of the Capitol. Hoffman will play the new head gamemaker, who may (or may not) be more loyal to Katniss than he is to the rest of the 1 percent.
Amanda Plummer as Wiress
With a memorable turn in Pulp Fiction and a Tony win for her theater work, Plummer shouldn't have any problems stepping into the shoes of the appropriately nicknamed "Nuts," a tribute who proves to be very observant.
Lynn Cohen as Mags
Cohen—most well known for playing Miranda's housekeeper and nanny Magda on Sex and the City—will ditch the world of Jimmy Choos for the arena, where she'll play Finnick Odair's mentor and the 80-year-old victor of District 4.
Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen
Oscar nominated for Winter's Bone, Jennifer Lawrence's controversial casting as Katniss originally drew fan outcry, but Lawrence wowed audience with her depth and bow and arrow skills and surely will once again in Catching Fire.
Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark
Hutcherson—previously best known for films like The Kids Are All Right—dyed his brown locks blond and packed on some muscle to play everyone's favorite baker's boy. He'll continue wooing Katniss (and fans) as he returns for the sequel.
Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorne
Liam—previously known as the hot Aussie in The Last Song and Miley Cyrus' hot boyfriend—has officially earned heartthrob status for playing Katniss' protective BFF, Gale. And he'll score plenty more screen time this time around.
Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinket
Banks cut her acting chops on funny roles in The 40-Year-Old Virgin and recently What to Expect When You're Expecting, but mastered high-fashioned snobbery in her scene-stealing stint in the first film of the Hunger Games saga.
Woody Harrelson as Haymitch Abernathy
Before Hunger Games, there was plenty of speculation about who would play Katniss and Peeta's often drunk and nearly always cranky mentor, Haymitch. Harrelson scored the gig (and the wig!) and made it one to remember.

It didn't take the biggest stretch of the imagination to see that Tucci's flamboyant fashionisto from The Devil Wears Prada would be perfectly at home in the Capitol. Tucci returns as the chipper emcee of the Hunger Games.
