Shailene Woodley as Beatrice "Tris" Prior

The 21-year-old actress is a perfect fit for the bold leading lady. Her tough, but complicated character is challenged with more than a handful of obstacles, and Woodley is the one to nail the role of a daring teenager. Plus, she already knows what it takes to play the main love interest from her other latest movie, The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Kate Winslet as Jeanine Matthews

There was a lot of speculation about Kate joining the movie, but it's finally official and we are more than enthralled about this casting! But what's even more exciting is that we get to see a different side of Kate. She is playing a downright villain as Tris' (Shailene Woodley) enemy. We can't wait to see mean and bad Kate!

Zoë Kravitz as Christina

Leave it to Zoë to be the sweet but tough character. She's one of the fiercest competitors in the Dauntless competition and the most bluntly honest person, but she befriends Tris and has a soft spot for her love interest Will.

Theo James as Tobias "Four" Eaton

The English hottie is taking on the leading male role and Tris' (Shailene Woodley) love interest. We're happy about this pick because not only is he easy to look at, but those two make an extremely cute onscreen couple!  Theo has a had roles in Underworld: Awakening, You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger and, probably his most famous part to date, in Downton Abbey as Farouk.

Maggie Q as Tori

We couldn't have thought of anyone better to play Tris' extremely helpful helping hand. Tori is Tris' (Woodley) aptitude test instructor, but she helps with a little more than that. Q has done a ton of movies—literally like Mission Impossible 3, Live Free or Die Hard and her most recent venture as the star of TV series Nikita.

Ansel Elgort as Caleb Prior

The 18-year-old nabbed the highly sought-after role of Caleb Prior, Tris' (Woodley) intelligent brother and confidant. Even though Elgort just graduated from high school last year and grew up in the arts and media world with his father being a famed Vogue photographer and his mother an opera director—he is setting his own stride. He is already making a name for himself by grabbing this role and a part in Stephen King's horror flick Carrie. Plus, he is insanely good-looking.

Jai Courtney as Eric

What can get any better than some rival competition between hotties Jai Courtney and Theo James? Jai who's most recent project includes A Good Day to Die Hard is playing the brutal Dauntless leader who has a not-so-great relationship with Four (James). In the book, Eric is described as an intense, dreadlocks-wearing and multiple-piercings kind of guy. We think he can pull it off!

Ben Lamb as Edward

One of the newest members to have converged to the Divergent cast is this British actor. Lamb will play the ominous role of Edward who gets help from Tris' (Woodley) after he is—ouch!—stabbed in the eye and left factionless.

Christian Madsen as Al

Like father like son! Christian Madsen is the son of famed Hollywood actor Michael Madsen (you may recognize him from Kill Bill and Resovoir Dogs, just to name a few). But now it's Christian's turn to shine in the spotlight, though he also has a few other flicks under his belt including one with his father, Refuge from the Storm. Christian will play Al, who starts off as happy-go-lucky and falls for Tris (Woodley), but ends up taking deadly turn.

Ben Lloyd-Hughes as Will

The 24-year-old British actor will play Christina's (Zoë Kravitz) love interest. Ben has been on a number of U.K. TV shows, including Skins and Personal Affairs. Something tells us that after Divergent hits theatres, he will be much more recognizable worldwide.
