How I Met Your Mother
The comedy surprised many by earning a nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series. Star Neil Patrick Harris will be doing double duty on Sept. 20: He's host of the event as well as a nominee for Supporting Actor in a Comedy.
Saturday Night Live
Not only did the sketch show garner a lucky 13 nominations, but both Kristen Wiig and Amy Poehler also scored winks for Supporting Actress in a Comedy.
American Idol
Cutie-pie Ryan Seacrest earned another nomination for Outstanding Reality Host this year.
Dancing With the Stars
Being able to shake it went far with this year's Emmy nominations. DWTS scored 10 nods, while So You Think You Can Dance earned five. However, only the one with the celebs got a wink for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program.

Damages
Rose Byrne (left) and Glenn Close may face off on this FX show, but they each earned nominations in the Supporting Actress and Actress categories, respectively, for their dramatic performances. The high-octane show also scored for Best Drama Series.
Weeds
The cast and crew of this Showtime series should be high on life right about now—they earned a total of six nominations, including Best Comedy and Best Actress in a Comedy for Mary Louise Parker.
Lost
The 2005 Best Drama Series takes its third trip to the category, while Michael Emerson (right) earns his fourth nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama. The cult show earned five total nominations (six if you include its Dharma Initiative-themed interactive Web series).
Breaking Bad
AMC's other drama earned the network another five nominations, including Best Drama Series, Best Actor in a Drama for Bryan Cranston (left) and Best Supporting Actor in a Drama for Aaron Paul (right).
The Office
Steve Carell and his posse garnered the hit show a total of nine nominations, including Best Comedy Series. In fact, Carell was such a good leader, he also earned another nod for Best Actor in a Comedy.
The Mentalist
The always-dapper Simon Baker might be one of the hottest men on television on one of the hottest new shows of last season, which explains his nod for Best Actor in a Drama.
The Sarah Silverman Program
The funnylady plays herself (but not) so well, she earned a nod for Best Actress in a Comedy Series!
In Treatment
Gabriel Byrne earned a Best Actor in a Drama nomination for his role as the shrink with a shrink. His patient, Hope Davis, and his therapist, Dianne Wiest, also scored for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama.
Hannah Montana
Yeah, you read that right. Miley Cyrus' series is nominated for Best Children's Program. Ditto for Selena Gomez's Wizards of Waverly Place.
Grey's Anatomy
Sandra Oh's performance opposite Kevin McKidd earned her another nomination in the Best Supporting Actress in a Drama category (nothing for him, though). Costar Chandra Wilson also got a nod in the same category, but Katherine Heigl did not.
Friday Night Lights
The critical darling received a single nomination for Casting for a Drama Series, but really, where's the love for its incredible stars, Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton?
