What better way to deny rumors than Twitter! Everyone does it, so it's become more about how you do it. There's the Lily Allen approach where you call someone a c--t, which is kind of awesome. Or there's the Britney way, which is more on the adorable side of the scale. Telling Star and RadarOnline.com to kiss her "lily white southern Louisiana ass!" for starting domestic violence rumors was definitely LOL-worthy. Whoever came up with that line for her deserves a raise.

Haters have definitely scared away plenty of celeb Tweeters, so we gotta hand it to the former Malcom in the Middle star for telling them to suck it. But wait a minute—$40 million?! Seriously?
8. Steve Martin
Like most things Steve Martin does—banjo playing, Oscar hosting, Father of the Bride movie acting—his Twitter account makes us go "awwww" because it's so feel-good and random. He joined in September and since then he has covered everything twittering geeks need: iPhone humor, Twitter character count jokes, weird random narratives that last for days, Get It Right Fridays on Thursdays.
7. Lindsay Lohan
Just like her real life, Lindsay's Twitter has been a big drama roller coaster. Sure, it's hard to pick a favorite LiLo tweet between the random late-night fights with SamRo and drug test failure admission, but we're going to go with her attempt at making a joke about going to prison. Sounds a lot like this.

Three days after Conan signed off on NBC, he signed on to Twitter with this inaugural tweet and reassured us that everything was going to be OK. It's been all laughs, one tweet a day, since then.

Justin Bieber basically owns Twitter. After he got kicked off the Trending Topics, the 16-year-old started popping up on everyone else's accounts. From Kanye West to Joe Jonas to Kim Kardashian to Katy Perry and death threats from Beliebers frequently followed. It's those Beleiber threats that make us enjoy Rihanna's preemptive hashtag. #hashtagjokesforlife

Our Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has definitely figured out the magical Twitter formula: Product placement + bikini pictures = gold! So we nominate every half-naked picture Kim K. posts, she knows what her audience wants.

The country singer flipped out when we broke the story about her engagement to Eddie Cibrian, and what came out of that anger was this epic rant.

R.I.P., @Chicky. Amanda Bynes has disappeared from Twitter, but not before crazying it up more than any celeb Tweeter before her of after her. The tweet to your left is just the beginning of it. Remember when the 24-year-old retired, then unretired a month later? Let's not forget the amazing things she taught us in her short tenure, either. For example, a hair cape is a "hip way of referring to your hair." Also "flim = movie." And yes, there's more where that came from.

Obviously, every single one of these top 10 Tweets from this past year could easily come from Kanye's Twitter. Even though he ranted against the microblogging service before, he joined in July and quickly became the best celebrity tweeter, um, ever! His most popular and retweeted message being the simple and short "I'm sorry Taylor." Well, at least he was sorry that day.
