10. Lady Gaga
Granted, most outfits the singer chooses to don are noteworthy, but none caused as much stir as the, uh, "frock" she wore to the VMAs. You may know it by its informal name, the "meat dress." The singer stated the dress was symbolic of the struggle gays and lesbians face in America. She knows how to make a point.
9. Sandra Bullock & Louis
Just after the heartbreaking news that Sandy's husband Jesse James had been unfaithful, she revealed that she and James had adopted the adorable baby Louis in the weeks before the scandal broke. Though they'd started the adoption process four years ago, the couple kept Louis' arrival into their family quiet until after Sandra's Oscar win for The Blind Side.
8. Jennifer Lopez & Tom Cruise
Les Grossman, aka Cruise, and Lopez treated the viewers of the MTV Movie Awards to some seriously unexpected, uh, raciness. During the performance of her song Get Right, J.Lo was joined by the foul-mouthed Tropic Thunder producer, and since then, this image has been unfortunately seared into our minds. Thanks, you guys.
7. The Kardashians
A late entry in our list, but still, this photo got the internets buzzing over the sexy family. And like everything Kardashian, it even had it's own (minor) level of drama: Who had to be Photoshopped in?!?! We also got a fun look back at the clan over the years. Hey, at least your awkward family photos aren't all over the web.
6. Chelsea Hander & 50 Cent
Are they dating? Are they just messing with us? Following several weeks of rumors (and non-denials) from the E! funnylady on whether she and the rapper were going out, the two tweeted this cozy pic and got the guessing game started all over again. A picture can say a lot, and from the looks of this one, the two seem to have some chemistry. Why not give it a shot, you two?
4. Lindsay Lohan
Probably one of the best reaction shots of 2010. Lindsay Lohan is served with a serious dose of reality as a judge sentences her to jail for probation violations. LiLo later came to accept her punishment and state that from here on out she was taking responsibility for her actions. Good luck in 2011, Linds!
3. Shiloh Jolie-Pitt
One of the year's biggest photos, which, quite frankly, we're still scratching our heads over. Uproar ensued when little Shiloh here was photographed sporting what some considered a "boyish" haircut and clothes. What did this say about her upbringing? Are Brad and Angie decent parents? Call us crazy, but there's no better time to experiment and have fun with your look than when you're a kid. Keep it up, Shiloh. We love your fashion sense.
2. Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson
OMG! OMG! OMG! OK, technically, the two are in character here playing Twilight's Edward and Bella as they film scenes from the upcoming Breaking Dawn in Rio de Janeiro. But that didn't stop the world from speculating on how these two actors managed to bring such smoldering chemistry to their onscreen romance. It can't all be acting, right?
1. Lea Michele
And last, but definitely not least, comes what was perhaps the most controversial photo of the year. The star of Glee stirred up all kinds of criticisms for this feature in GQ magazine. Called everything from steamy and sexy to peddlers of child pornography, the actress and her costars took heat from all directions as they shed their wholesome high school personas for the camera.
