The American Idol judge certainly showed the kids on that show how it's done with this über-pulsating track tailor-made for the clubs. Sure, we may have only ranked it at No. 10, but that doesn't mean it didn't have us turning up the volume to that very same number.
9. "Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall," Coldplay
Never has frontman Chris Martin sounded more like Bono. In fact, there's plenty here—from guitar riffs to drum-pounding—that totally reminds us of early U2. Yet, it doesn't ever feel like some sort of imitation, proving that Gwyneth Paltrow's better half and his bandmates are definitely the real deal.

8. "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)," Katy Perry
A fun and flirty track from the singer who has essentially cornered the market when it comes to fun and flirty. Let's face it, male or female, this song brings out the sorority girl in all of us.
7. "Till the World Ends," Britney Spears
She may have turned 30 (!) this year, but Brit showed with this energetic piece of pop that she's not going away anytime soon. Heck, she even managed to oudo herself with a remix of the tune featuring Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha.
6. "Party Rock Anthem," LMFAO feat. Lauren Bennett and GoonRock
Calling your song an "anthem" is a pretty bold move, but LMFAO nevertheless managed to back it up here. While there were times when it made our heads hurt, the fact that it was also incredibly catchy certainly made up for it.
5. "Super Bass," Nicki Minaj
Infectious, thy name is "Super Bass." How else to describe this delightfully upbeat track with its "boom badoom boom boom" chorus? You can't help but listen to it—make that, sing along to it—without cracking a smile.
4. "All of the Lights," Kanye West feat. Rihanna and Kid Cudi
The song's video, with its strobe-lit images, may have been hard to watch. But the tune itself had us hitting the replay button on our iPods time and time again. Plus, how could we not include the guy who's up for the most Grammys, right?
3. "Moves Like Jagger," Maroon 5 feat. Christina Aguilera
They may be competitive rivals on The Voice, but we're so glad Adam Levine decided to tag team with Aguilera on this funky homage of sorts to the Rolling Stones frontman. Anybody got a convertible we can drive around in while cranking this one up?
2. "Pumped Up Kicks," Foster the People
It's pretty easy to ignore the somewhat somber gun-related lyrics given how the music sounds so innocent. (Hello, whistling!). The kind of song that makes you want to slap on those, yes, pumped up kicks and start skipping.
1. "Born This Way," Lady Gaga
Mother monster gave us, well, a mother of a monster hit with this track off her album of the same name. While critics screamed it was nothing more than a rip-off of Madonna's "Express Yourself," it nevertheless managed to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Can't say we're too surprised, though. Loaded with both empowering lyrics and club-ready beats, this is music that offers up way more than just a message.
