10. The Voice (NBC)

Some people were ready to dismiss The Voice as just another TV singing competition. But with a dynamic judging panel full of chemistry and legitimate talent, viewers started swiveling their own chairs toward the television screen to watch each week.

9. The Glee Project (Oxygen)

Since Glee has pretty much taken over television, it's no surprise that The Glee Project made the top 10 list. How could you not love a show with someone as charming as Damian McGinty? And in case you haven't heard, his character Rory will be on Glee a lot longer.

8. The X Factor (Fox)

Apparently there is enough room for lots of singing competitions on television, as Simon Cowell made the move from American Idol (which didn't crack the top ten), to The X Factor. Plus, host Steve Jones is not too hard on the eyes.

7. Jersey Shore, (MTV)

It's the show everyone is embarrassed to admit they watch; the epitome of the term "guilty pleasure." Jersey Shore's drama may always be the same (Ron and Sam, just break up for good already), but the crazy cast always manages to keep us entertained.

12 Primetime Emmys and millions of fans can't be wrong.

5. Real Housewives Franchise (Bravo)

There are just too many crazy moments to reference here (Teresa's NJ table flip, the "pig slut" incident on BH), but if you're a fan of any of the Real Housewives installments, you know that the glitz, glamour and delicious drama is addicting as hell.

4. Top Chef (Bravo)

The only cooking competition to make the list, Top Chef is consistently nominated come Emmy time, and in 2010 it took out the reigning champ Amazing Race for Outstanding Reality Series.

3. Dancing with the Stars (ABC)

13 seasons in, DWTS still captures the attention of the entire country for its triumphant stories and the drama on and off the stage.

2. Keeping Up with the Kardashians (E!)

You either love them or you hate them, but our own Keeping up with the Kardashians was voted into the second spot on the list. Are you following the gals in New York, too?

1. So You Think You Can Dance (Fox)

SYTYCD tops our list for 2011, and it's not a shocking victory by any means. It's a rare thing to see a reality competition whose main focus is the skill of a contestant, and nothing else. Don't go changing, SYTYCD!
