Roly & Ellie

The labradors who actually live at Highclere Castle, where Downton Abbey is filmed, were reportedly quite territorial around Roly, who plays Pharaoh on the show. Ellie was brought on to replace him, but star and dog-lover Hugh Bonneville figured the show's eagle-eyed fans would notice that Pharaoh was male and Ellie is female, so "the backstory is that Pharaoh passed away and we now have Isis," he tells the Daily Mail.

Cosmo

The rescued Jack Russell Terrier played Christopher Plummer's dog Arthur in Beginners. Costar Ewan McGregor became so smitten with the pup, that at the end of filming, he went out and adopted a little poodle mix named Sid. "I found my dog on the last day of the shoot," McGregor says. "He is gorgeous and my little Cosmo replacement."

Paddington

The golden retriever plays Duke in the current Bush's Baked Beans commercials. The original Duke was cast in ads back in 1994 because his ears instantly perked up every time Jay Bush said, "Roll that beautiful bean footage."
