Nancy Kerrigan's troubles don't appear to be skating away anytime soon.

After being imprisoned for allegedly assaulting her father and thus causing the heart attack that killed him earlier this week, the Olympic medalist's brother Mark Kerrigan won't be allowed to attend the funeral, the Boston Herald reports. Per the state's department of correction guidelines, prisoners are prohibited from attending such services.

In the meantime, the 45-year-old Mark has been transferred to Bridgewater State Hospital for a competency evaluation.

Unfortunately, this isn't the first time Mark has been accused of getting physical.

No, he didn't have anything to do with his sister's infamous attack in 1994—that was Tonya Harding's cohorts—but Mark was divorced in 2007 and the judgment between him and his ex-wife, Janet Guarino, wasn't exactly filled with accolades. They were legally divorced on the grounds of cruel and abusive treatment.

According to the Herald, Guarino took out multiple restraining orders against Mark—both when they were married and while they were still dating—telling authorities that he "punched her in the face, slashed her tires, threatened her with a bow and arrow, trashed her personal property and sent ex-cons to visit her."

In other words, Tonya and her condolences are sounding pretty angelic right about now.
