Mindy Kaling has never, ever been happier.
As The Office alum privately gave birth earlier this year, welcoming a baby girl named Anne to her family in February. The newest addition joins big sister Katherine, 6, and big brother Spencer, 3.
"She's the best birthday present I could've ever imagined," Mindy, who celebrated her 45th birthday June 24, captioned her June 24 Instagram post featuring photos of her kids, her baby bump and the trio at the hospital. "When things are hard, whenever I veer towards cynicism, my three kids are such a great reminder of the pure joy in my life. I'm so lucky I live in a place where I could do this by myself, on my own timeline."
Mindy's sweet revelation comes three months after she shared insight into her latest chapter of motherhood, detailing the bond that her two oldest children already share.
"Literally, all you want as a parent are these glimmers of hope that your children will get along with each other unprompted," she told TODAY.com in March. "When they're [asked] ‘Who is your best friend?' they say each other, and that is incredibly moving."
For the Mindy Project star, becoming a mom has had a huge impact on her, especially after her own mother's passing in 2012.
During a trip to Boston, "I was just looking at these guys," she said during a 2023 appearance on Today With Hoda & Jenna. "They'll never get to meet my mother, but that's where I grew up with her. When I was there I just felt like, 'Oh man.' The loss of a parent is so intense, and she was my person, but I was like, 'At least I have these two. And I can tell the story of her.' And I just felt so blessed."
