Kim Kardashian is getting ever closer to becoming a lawyer in real life.

But in the meantime, she's playing one on TV in Ryan Murphy's All's Fair, a role that was written specially for her.

“I was so curious about her because she has a huge life," Murphy said at the Hulu show's Oct. 16 world premiere, per The Hollywood Reporter. "She has a huge, wonderful family. I was so startled that she would agree to do this. When asked why, she said, 'Because it’s iconic and I like iconic s--t,’ which is very Kim.”

In a nutshell.

As she turns 45 on Oct. 21, Kim is more iconic than ever, grabbing attention with a full Maison Margiela face mask at a gala and peddling SKIMS panties straight out of the bush era.

But her personal priorities are closer to home than ever as she and Kanye West continue to navigate coparenting North West, 12, Saint West, 9, Chicago West, 7, and Psalm West, 6.

“I think when someone has their first mental break, you know, you want to be super supportive," Kim said on the Oct. 15 episode of Call Her Daddy, "and you want to, like, help figure that out and you want to really get into that with them and and be there for them.”

And while she was hoping to make it work before ultimately deciding to file for divorce in February 2021, “It makes it really hard to continue on in a relationship that can be toxic," she told host Alex Cooper. "When you have kids, it’s definitely harder to leave than it is to stay. And it changes everyone’s life forever.”

So even when her family and friends noticed not all was well, Kim noted, "I think I got really dissociated and there were so many times where I was just, like, really quiet and trying to figure it all out."

Which she eventually did and, though that meant splitting up, Kim has concluded that "an over-a-decade relationship with four beautiful children is not a failure.”

However, Kim said it's "not easy" coparenting with Kanye, who has accused her in the past of keeping him away from their kids.

"Every time he has asked, I will always let them see their father,” Kim said on the podcast. "That's just who I am."

When "he's having a hard time" he usually doesn't seek out time with the kids, she said, but otherwise, even when he's country-hopping, they make it work.

"I send them to Saudi Arabia and Italy and Japan and all over the world," she said. "Every time he asks, I’ve never once denied it. No, I don’t keep the kids, and I think that narrative really sucks for me, and if I spoke out about it and rebutted it—I’m just not that girl.”

It's no wonder that she used her own divorce attorney Laura Wasser for inspiration as she got into character for All's Fair.

“We consulted with her,” Kim told E! News' Erin Lim Rhodes at the series premiere Oct. 17. “It was just so important to have someone that I could want to channel and want to feel. And that was Laura, who's just like a badass woman that takes care of other women.”

Which also happens to be how Kim's costars view her.

“While we were shooting," Sarah Paulson told E!, "Kim was studying for the bar, running her business, [doing] her reality TV show, mothering her children, knew all her lines."

Added Naomi Watts, "She’s a hard, hard worker. A fast learner. She was dedicated, focused, on time and also multi-tasking.”

But The Kardashians star was also soaking up all she could from the award-winning actors in her midst.

“I love these women,” she told E!. “I learned a lot from them showing up and coming on set every single day and just seeing them work and seeing what they do. They are the best at what they do. That was the best lesson I could have learned.”

Now, after graduating from her legal studies program and, per TMZ, taking the California bar exam (results TBD), she's learning to love her single girl era.

"I have my kids to raise,” she said on Call Her Daddy. “I have a life that requires a lot of my attention, and my kids just really need me right now. So, I’m there 24/7, you know? I don't know how I would fit something else in. I'm just not looking, and it would have to be, like, someone super special.”

Kim added, "I've had all my fun, I've had all my phases. Now I just have to be with my babies."

While we suspect there are more phases to come, see photos of Kim from all her eras so far:
