Justin Lupe will always have a sister in Kristen Bell.
After all, the Nobody Wants This actress shared how she's leaned on her costar since welcoming 14-month-old daughter Ellis with husband Tyson Mason.
"She's really great at sharing tips and little secrets about parenting and the joy of parenting," Justine gushed to E! News' Will Marfuggi. "She's just awesome. She's just an endless well of knowledge."
In fact, the 36-year-old recalled a recent outing with Kristen—mom to daughters Lincoln, 12, and Delta, 10, with husband Dax Shepard—that was incredibly insightful.
"We were hanging out with both of our kids the other day," she explained, "and she literally sat at the bookshelf and just pulled out books and was like, 'This one's great, and this one's great, and this one's really great for teaching them about feminism and this one's really good for environmentalism.'"
Although Justine—who stars opposite Kristen's character Joanne as her younger sister Morgan—has learned so much about motherhood from the Veronica Mars alum, they've also bonded over some very silly anecdotes.
"She's also really fun to talk to about the things that are joyful and gleeful about having a kid," she reflected. "We just were talking about how much I love when my daughter will look at me right in the eye and then just fart with abandon and not acknowledge the fact that she just ripped ass right in front of me. We were just talking about that just recently."
For Justine, it's Kristen, 45, who has helped facilitate a space for them to bond so deeply—and it's felt all over the set.
"Kristen just does an incredible job of really caring about the work, really caring about making something great," she reflected, "and also respecting that the crew has lives and they need to get home to their kids."
"She cares a lot about her family," she continued, "and that we all have a sane way of doing it that's very efficient and careful, but also taking care of our livelihoods."
That dedication translates to the season two storyline, too. Now that Joanne and Noah Roklov (Adam Brody) have decided to make their interfaith relationship work, despite the latter being a rabbi, Morgan must navigate a new chapter in her life solo.
"I thought it was very on brand for who she is and the moment that she's in, which is like, 'I've lost my soulmate—my sister—to a romantic relationship,'" Justine explained. "'Now I don't know where the frick my life is and who I am and what I want. Am I ever going to find someone?'"
"She doesn't really have the tools that most 30-something adults might have," she noted, "so she gets herself into a real mess."
