I also appreciate a really good olive oil, a pair of soft cashmere socks. Those are definitely on my list this year, both to give and to get.”
“I love simple things — the basics with a little bit of luxury,” she continues. “For me, one of my favorite gifts to both give and receive is a Louis Vuitton scarf. It’s so simple and elegant. There are a few colors I have my eye on, and it’s the kind of gift that always works.”
Her most meaningful gifts, though, are deeply personal. “My favorite gifts, which are so easy, are pictures of my grandchildren in frames. I look at them every day,” she said. “One of my other favorite photos is of my three boys at one of my son's weddings. They must have had a lovely cocktail because they all look so happy and have their arms around each other…but it's one of my favorite photos.”
