Broad City: Ending
The upcoming fifth season will be Broad City's last, Comedy Central announced. The final season will premiere in early 2019, however Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer have signed a first look deal with Comedy Central and Viacom for content created and/or developed for TV by them. The deal is for content created together and independently. They already have three projects in development at Comedy Central: Mall Town USA, Platinum Status and Young Professionals.
"Broad City has been our baby and first love for almost ten years, since we started as a web series. It's been a phenomenal experience, and we've put ourselves into it completely. Broad City's always had a spontaneous pace and feeling, and ending after season five honors that spirit. We are very excited to bring new voices and points of view to Comedy Central and continue our collaboration together in new ways," Glazer and Jacobson said in a joint statement.

Shades of Blue: Renewed for a Final Seasom
Jennifer Lopez's gritty cop drama was renewed for a third and final season by NBC, which also airs her dance competition series, World of Dance.
"I have enjoyed producing and starring in this beautifully complicated world and playing such an empowering yet flawed character – a women, a detective, but, first and foremost, a mother," Lopez said in a statement. "Now looking at it with a little distance, playing Harlee strengthened me and helped me grow into a more self-assured woman. It's crazy how some parts permeate your soul and change you forever and for that I am grateful. We crafted a poetic three-season arc on how her journey ends, which is true redemption. The way only Harlee could have done it–the hard way, the road less traveled. I thank NBC and all the talented actors, writers, crew and producers for going on this journey with us!"
