Khloe Kardashian has no time for haters.
After the Good American founder posted a glimpse into the birthday celebration she hosted for her ex Tristan Thompson's 17-year-old brother Amari, a user commented criticizing her actions, writing, "Seriously questioning your rationale for posting this…" under her July 27 Instagram tribute.
But Khloe was quick to fire back. "I'm seriously questioning your rationale in posting," she replied. "What's the problem?"
For the special birthday occasion, Khloe decked out her house with balloons that spelled out "Happy Birthday Amari" and posted some behind the scenes photos to her Instagram. She further shared selfies she took with Amari, as well as a sweet fam photo featuring the two alongside Kris Jenner, Khloe and Tristan's 5-year-old daughter True and her niece Dream Kardashian.
"Someone is 17 today!!!!" the 39-year-old captioned her post. "Happy birthday sweet sweet Amari!!! We are all so blessed to have been touched by an angel such as you. You are truly one of Gods greatest treasures."
Amari's birthday came shortly after Khloe shared on the July 27 episode of The Kardashians that he and Tristan had moved into her home earlier this year. While Amari had originally moved in with Tristan after relocating from Toronto following the death of the brothers' mom Andrea in January, the NBA player's home was later damaged by the severe weather in California, making it unlivable.
The announcement took some fans by surprise, given the former couple's complicated history.
Khloe and Tristan, who welcomed daughter True in April 2018, first split in early 2019 following the news that Tristan cheated with the Kardashian family's longtime friend, Jordyn Woods. Then, after reuniting in 2020 and conceiving a child via surrogate in November 2021, the pair split for good later after news broke that Tristan had fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. Tristan and Khloe welcomed their son Tatum the following July.
But despite those who may have questioned allowing Tristan and Amari into her home, given the couple's history, Khloe is comfortable of her choice.
"I'm grateful that I'm strong enough and brave enough to be a support system for someone else that has no other support system right now," she told Hulu cameras of the decision. "You don't have to treat me right for me to treat you right—it's not the way I was raised."
