Amanda Kloots is waltzing away from misconstrued comments.

After The Talk personality said her Dancing With the Stars partner Alan Bersten was “very mean” to her amid training, she shut down any actual beef—clarifying that she “loves” the professional dancer.

“We became best of friends during DWTS and we still are today,” Amanda wrote in a Nov. 19 Instagram Story. “We joked then and now about how tough he was on me but believe me I grew up in the ballet world knowing really tough teachers. We also laughed a lot, cried and built an incredible partnership in that time!”

Amanda emphasized how her and Alan’s friendship persists even three years after they forged it on the dancefloor.

“Alan helped me tremendously with healing and grief and finding my love for dance again,” she continued of her 2021 season. “I’m grateful to him. If you followed us then and now you know the bond we created!”

And the 42-year-old—who shares son Elvis, 5, with late husband Nick Cordero—even went on to show support for Alan as he competes in season 33 of the reality dancing series alongside celebrity partner Ilona Maher

“Now excuse me while I go vote for him because tonight is the semi-finals,” she cheekily added, “and he and Ilona are killing it!”

Indeed, Alan and Ilona are still in the running for the coveted Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy. And, in a shocking twist at the Nov. 19 semifinals, all of the pairings including Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson, Danny Amendola and Witney Carson, Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold and Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong remained safe for the upcoming finale.

No matter his celebrity counterpart, Alan proves to be a worthy partner. Keep reading for more of the Dancing With the Stars season 33 pairs.
