Craig Conover was ready to put a ring on it before his breakup with Paige DeSorbo.
In fact, the Southern Charm star revealed new details about his plans to propose to his now ex-girlfriend before they split up in November.
While grilling Craig about why he wasn't engaged yet, costar Patricia Altschul asked the Sewing Down South founder during the Bravo series' Feb. 6 episode, "Have you ever thought about an ultimatum?"
However, Craig rebuffed the suggestion.
"No, because I like what we're doing," he told Patricia during a dinner with Shep Rose, Austen Kroll, Whitney Sudler-Smith and Ryan Albert. "Everyone else just kind of speaks for me."
Still, Craig's costars were skeptical about the true seriousness of his and Paige's long-distance romance.
"He's never, ever told me that they've been in a fight, which I know can't be true," Austen noted in a confessional. "If Craig was like, 'We've been having problems for three months,' I'd be like, 'I had no f--king clue.'"
Plus, Shep added in his own confessional, "I don't know what their day-to-day relationship looks like. Craig doesn't really talk about his relationship. It's that old adage 'nobody knows what happens behind closed doors.'"
But after two and a half years of dating, Patricia argued it was time to pop the question or get off the pot.
"You can keep going on and on," she continued, "but it would be interesting if you proposed and either she accepts or she doesn't."
Craig's answer? "We're gonna get married," he replied sheepishly, adding less confidently, "Whenever we want. It's not set. Everyone forgets I haven't asked her yet."
However, the 35-year old promised, "I'm gonna propose soon. Soon as in, like, probably the end of the year."
Craig then dropped a bombshell that shocked the entire group of Charleston socialites.
"Between us, I showed her a sheet of rings," he revealed. "I said, 'Pick your favorite.' She picked two that were my favorite actually. She picked an emerald cut and an elongated cushion."
Without missing a beat, Patricia advised, "That cut will need side diamonds," to which Craig told the 83-year-old, "Well, I'll come to you and ask you about it. I know you know your diamonds."
But when it came to the question of whether or not he or the New York native will eventually move to be closer together, Craig was less sure.
"We don't know where we're gonna end up," he told the group, "but we're not letting that ruin the happiness of today."

Dunzo

“No one did anything. It wasn’t a bad thing,” Paige said during her Dec. 30 Giggly Squad podcast episode. “I think we both were just being really mature and saying what we want and what we didn’t want, and I think that’s extremely powerful to be able to voice how you’re feeling in real time and what you want for your future.”

“I think he is one of the best people I’ve met in my entire life,” Paige continued. “I will remain the biggest fan of him and want the best for him, and he truly will get the best because he is the best.”
Craig Conover Addresses the Split
Over a week after the breakup news went public, Craig shared his side of the story.
"This has all been very, very unexpected, to say the least," Craig said in a video shared to Instagram Jan. 7. "I was very shocked and it's ok, it takes two people to be in a relationship. You can't control other people you can only control how you react to it."
That said, Craig also wants everyone to extend grace to his now-ex.
"I'm still processing everything, which is normal, I mean, three-year relationship, it's your best friend who you talk to all day, every day and then they're just gone," he noted. "So one day I'll be able to talk more on it but right now I just wanted to thank everyone for their kind messages."
