Chris Evans and Alba Baptista have a marvelous new addition.
The Captain America star and the Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris actress welcomed their first baby Oct. 24, multiple outlets have reported.
And while the Marvel alum had a busy summer—he starred in Materialists with Dakota Johnson and Pedro Pascal as well as Honey Don’t with Margaret Qualley— his priority was suiting up for parenthood.
"We're laying low,” he told E! News in June. “We're enjoying our time, just relaxing.”
Because with Alba—who he wed in September 2023—he doesn’t need an action-packed schedule to feel fulfilled.
“It's incredible," Chris raved about married life. “It's wonderful.”
For the 44-year-old, it was always his dream to put down his shield in exchange for a stroller.
“That's absolutely something I want,” he told People in 2022, shortly before confirming his relationship with Alba. “Wife, kids, building a family.”
As he put it, “I love the idea of tradition and ceremony, I had a lot of that in my life so the idea of creating that, I can't think of anything better."
He’s just hoping they take more after this wife than him.
“I was a high strung kid and emotional,” he added. “The tough questions, you know what I mean? I [asked] a lot of tough questions as a kid so I'm anticipating those questions to be loaded with a lot of anxiety.”
But he’s up for the challenge. “Not only can you give a good answer to the specific question,” Chris said, “but the tools to navigate tough questions like that.”
Of course, Chris and Alba, 28, already have a bit of experience as parents to his beloved dog Dodger. In fact, watching her fall for his pup helped him, realize she was the pick of the litter.
“Loving dogs is a huge part of it,” he told Access Hollywood last year. “She’s as big of an animal lover as I am.”
Still, he gushed, “I knew she was the one pretty early on—even before she met Dodger.”
