Gwen Stefani is celebrating her son’s simple melodic kind of life.
The Sweet Escape singer shared a rare photo of her and ex-husband Gavin Rossdale’s son Zuma on his 17th birthday, proving he’s following in his parents’ musical footsteps.
“Happy birthday to our sweet and talented Zuma!!” Gwen, 55, wrote on her Aug. 21 Instagram post, which featured a photo of him posed with his guitar and cowboy hat. “We love u soooo much!!”
The love didn’t stop there, as the “Rich Girl” star also posted a video of Zuma singing Zach Bryan’s ballad, “Dawns,” and a throwback photo of him smiling with his guitar as a kid. She also reflected on their sweetest mother-son moments, including them riding on a plane together and wearing matching black glasses.
Though Gwen—also mom to kids Kingston, 19, and Apollo, 11, with Gavin—has been supporting her son’s dreams for years, he’s also gained a new fan: her husband Blake Shelton. Indeed, she shared a touching photo of Blake, 49, bonding with Zuma before welcoming the teen on stage to perform.
This isn’t the first time Gwen has celebrated her son’s trip around the sun, as she dedicated a sweet Instagram tribute to him on his 15th birthday.
“Happy 15th birthday Zuma !!!” Gwen wrote in August 2023. “We love u more than anything.”
And when the Stefani-Shelton family aren’t making memories through music, they’re cheering on their favorite football team. In fact, the couple invited Zuma and Kingston to the Arizona Cardinals’ playoff against the New York Jets last November—and fittingly, the entire group wore their finest red cardinals merch.
But that’s not the end of their family dynamic. A month after their outing, Gwen revealed the “God’s Country” star gave Zuma a family heirloom.
“At the ranch there was an old truck that was Blake’s dad’s,” the No Doubt singer explained on the The Jennifer Hudson Show. “His dad has passed, but it was sitting there, no dashboard, rusted apart. [Zuma's] been begging for that truck for like, years. He ended up getting the truck last year. Blake gave it to him, put a dashboard in. He called the truck Dorothy, which is Blake’s mom’s name.”
