A$AP Rocky is surrounded by angels.
The “Praise the Lord” singer couldn’t help but gush about being a girl dad to daughter Rocki Irish Mayers, whom he welcomed with girlfriend Rihanna on Sept. 13—especially as he reflected on all of the new experiences he’s had as of late.
“My daughter. That's my favorite thing I created this year,” A$AP told Complex in an interview published Oct. 9. “Shout out to Rocki Irish, man.”
Plus, A$AP—who also shares sons RZA, 3, and Riot, 2, with Rihanna—has a special bond with the newborn. After all, her name pays tribute to her dad (real name Rakim Mayers), who was nicknamed Rocky before adopting it as his stage name.
Rihanna and A$AP, both 37, shared the news of Rocki’s birth to Instagram Sept. 24 with a sweet photo of the “Umbrella” singer and her daughter, who was clad in a pink onesie and matching socks.
The Grammy winner shone bright like a diamond during the announcement, wearing an estimated $128,000 worth of jewelry, including a pink Audemars Piguet Royal Oak rose gold wristwatch valued at $99,900, a $40,000 gold pendant by Marie Lichtenberg and a $7,950 Splendente Letter Pendant.
Of course, A$AP had the best reaction to the post, writing in the comments, “MY LIL LADIES.”
And being a dad in general is something the “Everyday” rapper has absolutely cherished.
“I got nothing but love to give to these little ones,” he shared with GQ in September. “And as you can see, that’s what occupies a lot of my heart capacity, is my family.”
And their family is what he and Rihanna keep their focus on.
“When you come home, it’s about family,” he told Elle shortly before announcing Rocki’s birth. “It’s about your relationship. It’s about your household. It ain’t about all that other s--t.”
And if A$AP is to be believed, the musical parents aren’t done expanding their brood.
"We're going to be like the Wayans family, you know?" he joked with Entertainment Tonight in June, alluding to the famous family of 10 kids. "I mean, love is beautiful, and it's just spreading it."
