Sabrina Carpenter and Nicole Kidman are the perfect couple.
"Oh, my goodness," Sabrina continued before Nicole's face appeared on the big screen from the front row, "I expected to find love but not my soulmate."
The 26-year-old asked the Oscar winner her name and where she's from before joking, "But you live in Nashville, so if things work out between us, then I guess I'm moving to Nashville!"
Nicole, 58, who was wearing a red t-shirt and blue jeans with her hair down, could be seen giggling and blushing from the crowd as Sabrina then made another reference to her work saying, "You're so Babygirl, I don't know what to do!"
The singer then pulled out her signature fuzzy pink handcuffs—a reference to a lyric in "Juno"—to hand to Nicole before blowing her a kiss and telling the audience, "This one's for Nicole!"
The surprise appearance comes just over a month after Nicole—who shares Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, with Keith Urban and Isabella Cruise, 32, and Connor Cruise, 30, with ex Tom Cruise—filed for divorce from the "Somebody Like You" singer Sept. 30, citing "irreconcilable differences."
The Undoing star has attended several other high-profile events since her split, including Vogue World: Hollywood and Paris Fashion Week, where she debuted new fringe bangs as she stepped out alongside Sunday and Faith Oct. 6 for pal Matthieu Blazy's first show as Chanel's new creative director.
“I'm just very nervous, actually,” Nicole told Vogue in a behind-the-scenes video of getting ready for the event. “I have my daughters coming with me. But I'm very excited for Matthieu because this is a big moment for him.”
The actress has also been open about her willingness to accept new changes in her life, no matter how uncomfortable they might be.
“The best part is the experiences that you’ve accumulated,” Nicole told Harper’s Bazaar on Oct. 9. “You go, ‘Oh, I’ve been here before. I actually know how to handle this now.’ Or, ‘Maybe I haven’t been in this place, but I've experienced something similar to this, and I do know that I will get through it.’”
She added, “There’s something to knowing that no matter how painful, or how difficult, or how devastating something is, there is a way through.”
