Nicole Kidman’s divorce filings are shedding light on her finances with Keith Urban.
One day after it was confirmed that the couple had split after 19 years of marriage, the Oscar winner officially filed for divorce Sept. 30, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split and putting forth a Parenting Plan that gave insight into the couple's earnings.
Nicole’s lawyer prepared a Child Support Worksheet that was submitted as part of the custody agreement for daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, listing both Nicole and Keith’s monthly income at $100,000 each, per the docs obtained by E! News.
Their large paychecks shouldn’t come as a surprise, though Forbes recently estimated her income to be even higher. Nicole was named the eighth highest paid star of 2024—and the highest paid actress—bringing in $31 million through her shows The Perfect Couple, Lioness and Expats, as well as her films Babygirl and A Family Affair.
However, none of that will be going to Keith, as the divorce docs confirmed that neither the Moulin Rouge actress nor the “Long Hot Summer” singer would be paying “any amount and/or form of alimony or spousal support to the other.” The former couple have also chosen not to provide child support, with the total amount ordered by both parties to assist with childcare noted as $0.
As for the custody agreements, Nicole, 58, asked to be the "primary residential parent," with Sunday and Faith spending 306 days a year with her and 59 days with Keith, 57. Both stars signed off on the Parenting Plan weeks ago.
And although their home base is Nashville, Nicole is used to having her teens travel with her while she films around the world. After all, their work schedules have meant that her kids have already lived in France, Australia, England, Scotland, Ireland, Vietnam and Hong Kong.
“I'm willing to travel, which a lot of people are not,” she told L’Officiel in 2024. “My kids are willing to travel… maybe less so now [that they’re older], but they're very interested in the world, too. They say they've got so many stamps on their passport, more than most people that are in their eighties.”
Shortly after confirming the couple's separation, E! News learned that it was Keith who decided to end the relationship, while Nicole had been actively working to save it, despite the two living apart since the beginning of summer.
Following the news, the Paddington actress and Grammy winner’s previous social media activity was looked at in a new light, as Nicole posted a photo of the couple to Instagram in June to celebrate their 19th wedding anniversary, while Keith did not share anything, instead just commenting a heart emoji on Nicole’s post.
And the duo had turned heads in July when Nicole—who is also mom to children Bella Cruise, 32, and Connor Cruise, 30, with ex-husband Tom Cruise—filed an application to become a resident of Portugal, but did not list Keith on the form.
However a source with knowledge told E! News at the time that the omission was simply due to a scheduling conflict, saying, “Keith was unable to be in Portugal for this appointment as he is currently on tour in the U.S.”
“It is mandatory for applicants to be physically present in order to apply for the visa,” the source added. “He is scheduled to submit his application at a later date that works with his tour schedule."

The country singer raised eyebrows when he abruptly ended an interview after being asked about Kidman's onscreen chemistry with costar Zac Efron in A Family Affair.
“The first thing I thought of with your beautiful wife, Nicole Kidman, being on so many great movies, TV shows all the time,” a radio host said on Australia’s Mix 102.3’s Hayley & Max in the Morning. “What does Keith Urban think when he sees his beautiful wife with beautiful younger men like Zac Efron having these beautiful love scenes on TV and radio?”
Suddenly, Urban disappeared from the call.
“He's disconnected from Zoom,” a radio staffer said. “I think his team hung up on us because they didn't want us to ask that question.”
His rep didn't respond to E!'s request for comment at the time.
July 24, 2025: It's Revealed That Nicole Kidman Applied for Residency in Portugal
E! News learned that the Practical Magic star had submitted application to become a resident of Portugal, with Urban preparing to do the same himself.
“Keith was unable to be in Portugal for this appointment as he is currently on tour in the U.S.," a source with knowledge of the situation told E!, "and it is mandatory for applicants to be physically present in order to apply for the visa. He is scheduled to submit his application at a later date that works with his tour schedule."
At the time, the source said both planned to maintain a permanent residence in Nashville as well.
Aug. 6, 2025: Sunday Rose Shares Insight Into Family Life
The couple's eldest daughter Sunday Rose shed light on on their parenting dynamic in an interview, saying that "there are two big rules" at home.
"The first was that I couldn’t explore any kind of fashion work until I was 16," she told Nylon, "and the second is that school always has to come first, which at first I hated, but I am actually really glad that I have these rules in place because it keeps me in a good mindset."

However, the Oscar winner was listed as the "primary residential parent," with the girls spending 306 days a year with their mother and 59 days with their father (Urban will have the children every other weekend.).
Neither will pay child support, according to the doc obtained by E! News.
“The mother and father will behave with each other and each child so as to provide a loving, stable, consistent and nurturing relationship with the child even though they are divorced,” it stated. “They will not speak badly of each other or the members of the family of the other parent. They will encourage each child to continue to love the other parent and be comfortable in both families.”
Aug. 29, 2025: Keith Urban Signs Paperwork
Urban moved forward with their Marital Dissolution Agreement, getting it notorized in August, per the doc obtained by E! News.
The document said that Kidman would "institute divorce proceedings against" him due to irreconcilable differences. It also stated that neither party would be getting alimony or spousal support in their split.
The same date, he also signed off on the Parenting Plan.
Sept. 6, 2025: Nicole Kidman Signs Paperwork
A week after Urban, the actress had the Marital Dissolution Agreement notorized as well and signed the Parenting Plan.
The same day, a judge signed off on an order that both stars would complete a manditory parenting seminar unless they file for an exemption, per the doc obtained by E! News.
